A great trail to check out if you are looking for a short flat place to get amazing views of Mount Hood is Trillium Lake. While I would not recommend this trail for real trail running because it is short, flat, and incredibly crowded (it basically runs through a very popular campground), it should get an honorable mention as one of the prettiest trails I ran in the Mount Hood National Forest (Check out my Dog River post for more info on Mount Hood).
There really isn’t much more to say about this trail, because it is so short. It is well marked, easy to run, and the view is absolutely breathtaking. So like the trail, this post was short and sweet. Thanks for reading.
Level of traffic | High – Because it is based around a very popular campground you will very rarely find yourself alone |
Vistas | Great– Just look at these pictures |
Potential Length | Short – Loops is 2.5 miles |
Level of Difficulty | Easy – Short and flat, need I say more |
Recommendations | I would absolutely recommend running (or maybe walking) this trail as long as you are in the mood for short, flat and crowded, it is worth it for the awesome view of Mount Hood |
Very nice trail, it must be very good, to do it.
